Peace and losing weight

Finally decided to take the plunge and go for a swim.The last time I swam was in September last year.Though its still warm here in the UAE,sea water and pool water drastically reduces temperature and by end of October its quite cold. Thats the desert environment for you. Im not one of those people who love the cold water.

As I was saying I took the plunge and spent about an hour in the water .The temperature was mold,not cold and not hot.Though after a few weeks ,the water temp will become too hot and the best time for a dip will be before 8 am and after 5 pm.


Talking about swimming,when I was going through chemotherapy in 2015,swimming really helped my physical and mental well being. After the initial few days after chemo day i would go to my pool and swim. It felt so refreshing and it gave me a sense of well being.A push to get healthier whilst going through treatment.

Its also an excellent way of keeping fit. You don't have to kill yourselves by swimming laps but you can jog in your place,walk or run up and down the pool.There are so many things that you can do.

I always tell my friends,please please when the temperature rises in the UAE do not spend time tanning after 11 am .The suns rays are so dangerous and that's why Australia has a high level of skin cancer known as melanoma among the population.Sun is good but being sensible is smart.



The warmth of the sun makes me happy and it makes me smile.A good way to start your day.
